Taho - Filipino Food | Philippines
Taho. In a sweet simple syrup, soft layers of warm, silky tofu with chewy tapioca pearls. Absolutely delicious and simple to prepare at home!
A traditional Filipino dish that uses just 4 ingredients, except water, and is vegan!
This is one of those delectable desserts that is light and sweet, but the sweetness pairs beautifully with the creamy silken tofu. When I was viewing YouTube footage of street food, I first learnt about this Filipino dish, which is when my fascination started! This dish only requires a short amount of cooking time!
The Chinese word "douhua," which means "soft soy beans pudding," is the source of the Tagalog word "taho," which was first used by a chef in the Han Dynasty.
